Creative Caring Heats can always use more volunteers.  Here’s what you can do to help:

  1. Donate toward the purchase of fabric or yarn.  In these economically difficult times, it seems that even fabric is becoming more expensive, so monetary gifts are always appreciated.  Please include your name and address, so a tax receipt can be sent to you.  These can be mailed to:  Creative Caring Hearts, 519 Highland Drive , Waupaca , WI 54981

  2. Donate fabric appropriate for baby use.  We use a lot of flannel, polar fleece, and t-shirt type knit fabric

  3. Knit or crochet a sweater.  There is a great newborn-sized sweater that we use.  You can find the pattern for this at www.bevscountrycottage.com/kp3.html

  4. Knit or crochet an afghan.  These can be for babies or for older children as we do also donate to the pediatric ward at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point .  It’s amazing how often the older children are so very excited about receiving an afghan to cuddle up in while they are in the hospital.

  5. Create quilts or receiving blankets. We usually go for about 30” x 30”, but almost any size for a newborn is wonderful.  Babies do come in all sizes!

  6. Knit or crochet hats for larger preemies or newborns.  There are lots of patterns to choose from that you can find by entering “charity hats for babies”, so have fun and choose a pattern that you like!

  7. Attend one of our workgroup meetings.  You can find the date and location of our next meeting by accessing the newsletter tab of this website.
