NEXT MEETINGS:

In September we will start meeting at Park Vista on the second Saturday of each month through the winter.
Thank you from Mexico
The following thank you was sent to us from Casa de los Angeles, which received sweaters, hats, and Beanie Bag toys from CCH.
"Thank you so much for the beautiful handmade sweaters and caps.  We are very grateful for your beautiful work."  Donna, founder of Casa de los Angeles

THANK TO ALL OF YOU WHO SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT CREATIVE CARING HEARTS!

KOHL'S DONATION
Recently Bob was in the Plover Kohl's Store and noticed the cute stuffed animals they sell with the books.  He asked a manager what they do when they change to a different book/ character.  The manager gave Bob two bags of stuffed toys for Creative Caring Hearts!  We have Fox from "Fox in Sox" and Yerkle from "Yertle the Turtle"!  These will be great toys for pediatric children at St. Michael's (and Riverside, too, if they are interested).  Thanks, Bob, for asking!
SWADDLING BLANKETS
Recently my daughter-in-law received a very cute Take-Me-Home polar fleece swaddling blanket from Verna Grant for our nearly-here granddaughter.  The swaddling blanket with hood had been designed and made by the ladies at Parfreyville Methodist Church.  I showed it to Cindy, my contact at St. Michael's Hospital, who thought it was terrific.  She suggested a couple of revisions, so, armed with the sample and the information, Mary Jo Feldman and her workgroup designed a hood-less version with one side of the wrap long enough to tuck under the baby before the second flap is put over.  Mary Jo even tried it out her neighbor baby, Emma, who loved it!  We will start making these at our next meeting.  What fun to have a new item!  Come see what they look like!

We are collecting aluminum cans, which Val DuChateau will take to Appleton to recycle.  All of the money comes back to Creative Caring Hearts.  Just bring any cans to the meetings or let us know if you need them picked up.
